FLORAL NATIVE NURSERY was started in 1998 by Germain Boivin, a native of Quebec, Canada. When first traveling to California in 1991, Germain was amazed by the diversity, abundance, and beauty of California plant life. A lover of plants, he realized the potential of a specialty nursery and started to experiment on California native plant breeding. With help from the California Native Plant Society, the International Plant Propagators Society, and professors at California State University Chico, Germain is becoming proficient in this developing field. RETAIL Floral Native Nursery is open 6 days a week for wholesale and retail business. We feature 150 species of California indigenous plants, from the popular redbud to the showy matilija poppy. We can assist you with your selection or you can browse on your own. Our demonstration garden is helpful for ideas and we have many books to reference. There are ecolandscape architects in Chico who can help you design your wildlife garden. WHOLESALE Our nursery can provide regional nurseries and growers with wholesale plants for landscaping projects. Commercial and home sites, school grounds, parks and roadways can benefit and flourish with beautiful, low maintenance California Native Plants.
